Health Educator

Duties and responsibilities:

Health educators who work in medical facilities provide patients with information on their diagnosis and treatment, as well as tips on staying healthy. They teach group classes on health topics and train medical staff on how to communicate with patients. Health educators employed by private companies may conduct staff health screenings, design healthy workplace programs, or create incentives for employees to lose weight, quit smoking or increase their level of exercise.

Education:Most health educator jobs require a bachelor’s degree at minimum and some employers may prefer candidates who also are Certified Health Education Specialists, the BLS reports. Undergraduate fields of study include health promotion or health education, and often include an internship.

I would like to be a health educator because they help people have a better life and be more healthy.

This quote is telling us to never be afraid to stand up for something that is right even though you are alone.Like for example the people that don't want Trump as the U.S president are standing up and are protesting becaues they think he will not be a good president and will bring conflict to the United States.Those people are not afriad to stand up and fight for what is right ,So never be afraid to stand up for what is right.

Environmental Health

Specialist

An environmental health specialist is a general term for someone who inspects environmental health systems to make sure they are in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. These regulations are set by the government to keep citizens safe and health.

Education:

The Environmental Health Sciences department has an articulation agreement with the California Department of Public Health which allows EHS MPH graduates to sit for the Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) exam after graduation. Students interested in completing the requirements for REHS will need to take specific electives and core requirements while in the program.  Requirements are listed below. Interested students are advised to set up a meeting with the EHS Internship Coordinator, Azadeh Terceman as soon as possible after matriculating to UCLA, preferably fall quarter of the first year.

This quote means that when you set goal you set them to go accomplish them. I have a life goal agenda and im planning on achieving all the goals I have on my agenda because I'm setting those goal to achieve them. Like one of my goal was to become a C.T.R person and I already became one. When i was small my goal was to learn how to ride a bike and i set that goal to me and i achieve that goal. So when you set up a goal to yourself it's because you are going to achieve it.

Columbus Day

The first Columbus Day celebration took place in 1792, when New York’s Columbian Order–better known as Tammany Hall–held an event to commemorate the historic landing’s 300th anniversary. Taking pride in Columbus’ birthplace and faith, Italian and Catholic communities in various parts of the country began organizing annual religious ceremonies and parades in his honor. In 1892, President Benjamin Harrison issued a proclamation encouraging Americans to mark the 400th anniversary of Columbus’ voyage with patriotic festivities, writing, “On that day let the people, so far as possible, cease from toil and devote themselves to such exercises as may best express honor to the discoverer and their appreciation of the great achievements of the four completed centuries of American life.”

Reflection: I think that this is a very important holiday because we remember about Columbus and all the things he did.

This quote means that you get use to obedience it becomes an addiction and you start being more and more obedient. Like when my goal was to learn how to play football and instead of me giving up i put in work and know it became a passion and I love that sport. So when your goal is to become obedient don't give up just try your best.   

Veterinarian

A veterinarian diagnoses and treats animals, much like a physician does for humans. Veterinarians must go through extensive training to be able to identify and treat medical conditions in animals. Some vets specialize in work with specific animals, broken down into large animals (horses, donkeys), domestic animals (cats, dogs), exotic animals (monkeys, elephants), etc. Vets may work in their own practice, or they may find employment in research facilities, zoos, and educational institutions.

Salary:Annual salary, hourly wage: $93,250 a year, $40.61 an hour

Education:Veterinarians must complete a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M. or V.M.D.) degree at an accredited college of veterinary medicine. There are currently 30 colleges with accredited programs in the United States. A veterinary medicine program generally takes 4 years to complete and includes classroom, laboratory, and clinical components.Although not required, most applicants to veterinary school have a bachelor’s degree. Veterinary medical colleges typically require applicants to have taken many science classes, including biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, zoology, microbiology, and animal science. Most programs also require math, humanities, and social science courses.
