This quote means that you have the choice the way you want to live and poverty is not a must. If you want to live in a nice place that looks beautiful you must work hard and accomplish that goal that you have in mind. It basically telling us that the way you want to live is on your hand and you could live anywhere and however you want because you that choice. Like Dr. Ben Carson would think that he was always going to live in poverty and never succeed in life until his mom made him read books and then realize that education is a big important part of life and it’s the only why to succeed.
