This quote means that if you don’t say the whole truth then you are lying because you are not choosing the right. Let suppose that you got caught doing something wrong and the police ask you what happened and you tell him but you leave a big part of the story out that is choosing the wrong because you are lying to the police and you can get in really big trouble.You can go to jail then people might not even trust you anymore because you are a lier.
