This quote means that in order to have a good life and live good you must do good things and be a CTR person. Like Count Leo Tolstoy is telling us that only those live who do good it’s not saying that if you do bad you don’t live. It’s basically saying that you can live better if you always chose the right and not the wrong,but if you chose the wrong your live would be bad and you will be miserable and not live the life you want. So only those live who do good and not bad.
