This quote means that only people who chose the right can have freedom and independence because if you chose the wrong and commit a crime you can end up in prison and not have freedom no longer in your life. If you are a CTW person no one will never depend on you or trust you at all like BYU want student that are independent but you can’t be independent if you are CTW person. Choosing the wrong is never going to get you nowhere because you can lose your freedom if you are a CTW person .
