This quote is basically saying that he didn’t want to to be known as the best couch he was just doing what was right and then good karma came to him by doing good. And he was not proud when he was known as the best couch because he said “why should I be happy for doing what is right.” He thinks that doing the right think should be something you known for. You might get good karma but get known for doing the right is not good because you always need to be a CTR person.
